The Rotary Club of Front Royal held its 6th Annual Half-Lit Classic Golf Tournament at Bowling Green South Golf Course. According to Tournament Director and Rotary Club President Rick Novak, the tournament was a huge success with 23 teams and 92 golfers participating.
The tournament was used by the Club as a “Pints for Polio” fundraiser with $25 from each golfer being applied to the Rotary Foundation’s PolioPlus campaign drive that is being matched 2×1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In addition to the $2,300 raised, the Club also received over $400 in additional donations. Golfers received a pint glass and sampled Virginia Craft Beers.
