Kelley Miller Named as Rotarian of the Month
by Rotary Club of Front Royal
Front Royal – On October 14, 2014 at the meeting of the Rotary Club of Front Royal, VA, Ron Llewellyn named Kelley Miller, as the Rotarian of the Month for August. For the honor, Kelley received a certificate, a Rotary business card holder, a $30 Houlihan’s gift certificate, and recognition on a Club plaque.
The motto that we as Rotarians embrace and attempt to practice in our daily lives is “Service above Self”…. for a Rotarian this is a way of life! This can be shown in many different ways from simple acts of kindness to participation in Rotary sponsored projects locally and around the world.
According to Club President Ron Llewellyn, “Our recipient of the “Rotarian of the Month” for the month of August exemplifies to the extreme our motto of “Service above Self” She has actively participated in many of our clubs local projects such as Day of Caring where she and her crew go above and beyond what is expected in providing a neighbor a helping hand. No job appears too big or too small. She eagerly participates and frequently leads projects for our club. Examples of this are Co-Chairing for many years (3) Vegas Night, one of our clubs largest fund raisers and also being the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of our new fundraiser “Half-Lit Golf Tournament” the last three years.”
Kelley’s energy and excitement for helping others goes beyond our local community by her participation in 2 international wheelchair projects; one in Antigua and the other in Guatemala. Kelley has been in our club for 8 years and is a Benefactor, Double Sustaining Member, and a Paul Harris Fellow.
Please join us in congratulating Kelley on her recognition as our “Rotarian of the Month” for August 2014.
